Can you believe that we have been actively producing wines since the turn of the century?
Slight exaggeration, but actually true. Although it has only been since 1999 that Jon started producing wine for friends and family; his fascination with wine began while he was in college, working in the tasting room at the Mirassou Winery in San Jose, California.
It may also be possible that Jon’s interest in wine is in his blood. In the early 1900’s, Jon’s great-grandparents owned and farmed vineyards in San Martin, California.

Sonoma proud!
All of our wines are handcrafted and produced from grapes proudly grown in Sonoma County, California.
Every March, we welcome visitors to the winery to try samples from the barrel. Called “futures”, save 40% by purchasing now before the wines are bottled.
Our Wine Store includes our newest vintages along with a limited amount of wines from previous vintages. Because alcohol shipments require special permits and an adult signature, we’re not able to ship to ALL states. Birch Road is a private BYOB club with a cool city vibe, lot’s of restaurants in the neighborhood and just a great place to hang out after work with friends or a place where you can bring your out of town guests.

Since 2011, Inspiration Vineyards has been offering custom wine making to those who lack a facility of their own. Jon Phillips & Dylan Sheldon, have almost 40 years of combined experienced in producing high quality, small production, award winning wines. Where some custom wine making facilities require a large multi-ton minimum commitment, our focus has always been on small lot production, willing to take on single barrel projects when asked.
We offer a full range of wine making and consulting services to address your needs from custom wine making, also known as “custom crush” to winery hosting, also known as Alternating Proprietor (AP) services.
